Biography 🧑
Nicholas M. Synovic (hereafter written in the first person) is a Software Engineering researcher studying the Software Engineering of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), with a particular focus on Pre-Trained Models (PTMs).
I got a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Loyola University Chicago (LUC) in 2022. I’m currently working towards my M.S. in Computer Science from LUC and am expected to graduate in the Spring of 2024. After my M.Sc., I intend to return once more to LUC to get my Ph.D. in Computer Science.
My work experience spans positions in academic research, entertainment, food service, I.T., and software engineering. For more details about the positions that I have worked and when, please see my CV 📇
Concerning my experience in academic research, I have published five papers within my short tenure as a Research Assistant at LUC. The topics of the papers include software metric tooling, mining software repository datasets, threat analysis of PTM hubs, and the software engineering of deep learning.
